I’ve spent one day in Bovec during my road trip at the Julian Alps in Slovenia. Bovec is known for its many activities like rafting, ziplining and canyoning, but I wasn’t able to do any of those things due to the bad weather, so I decided to explore waterfalls and hike the Soca trail. I stayed two nights at an apartment in Kal-Koritnica, a tiny town, five minutes driving from the Bovec city center and ten minutes from the Soca trail. It was the ideal location to explore the sights I had planned to see.
Hiking in Slovenia’s Triglav National Park in the Julian Alps is a must! Slovenia’s nature is so breathtakingly beautiful, it’s a shame not to explore it. Walking through forests along rivers and canyons, guiding you to impressive waterfalls and valleys surrounded by snowcapped mountains; sounds good, doesn’t it? I spent 10 days at the Triglav National Park and even though it rained every day, I still enjoyed all the sights and adventures.
One day in Ljubljana is just enough to explore the city’s main sights. Even though it’s Slovenia’s capital city, it’s rather small and still one of those undiscovered charming towns in Europe, not yet overrun by tourists. As soon as I arrived and walked through the cosy colorful streets, Ljubljana reminded me of Prague with its lovely bridges, colorful façades and tiny streets.
Enjoy the last vlog of my trip to Slovenia. This video shows the last 2 days I spend at Ljubljana. I wandered around the
Discovering my latest Slovenian wonder of nature; the Pericnik waterfall and arriving at Ljubljana; Slovenia’s capital. Enjoy!
This video shows my hike to Slap Martuljek, Lake Jasna and the Russian chapel. I hope you like it!
This isn’t my most spectacular video since it was pouring rain all day so I wasn’t able to do the hike to the Fratarica falls since I couldn’t cross the river. So this is me talking a lot and showing you the hotel and Zelenci lake!
The Bohinj Lake at Slovenia is the prettiest lake of Slovenia, completely surrounded by snow capped mountains, a few cute villages and not overrun (yet) by tourists. I stayed here for 2 nights and if it hadn’t rained the complete first day I probably would’ve done way more like paragliding and taking the cable car to the top of Mount Vogel. But the second day it was sunny and warm so I could really enjoy the beauty of the lake’s surroundings. This is what I suggest to do when you can only spend one day at Bohinj Lake!
