Don’t we all like to explore off the beaten path places? These days with social media all around it is hard to find places that are still unspoiled by mass tourism. In 2018 I wanted to explore the Netherlands some more. I already visited Amsterdam a few times before and some cities close to the Belgian border such as Breda and Eindhoven. But those are more “shopping cities” to me and aren’t really that pretty. I wanted to find some more authentic places and that’s how I ended up at these lesser known places in the Netherlands.
Enjoy my video of my two days in Amsterdam! I show you my favorite photo spots and some great restaurants and gastrobars!
I just returned from two days in Amsterdam and I already feel the urge to book a train ticket to this lovely city again! I love the crooked houses, the canals and bridges, the many trendy restaurants and the people! Last year I stayed for 3 days and explored the city by bike. That way I could reach more areas of Amsterdam that were less touristic. I got a taste of the real Amsterdam and I am hooked ever since! Luckily it only takes 75 minutes by train from Antwerp. So it was easy to return for two days in Amsterdam again to find beautiful photo spots and eat delicious food!
Recently I spent a weekend in Utrecht and I loved this charming city in the Netherlands! Many call it “Amsterdam’s cool little sister” and I totally agree! You can find the same building styles, canals and vibe, but smaller and less crowded. Even though Utrecht doesn’t have many must see sights, it really is a city you must visit and experience. I stayed for the weekend there, but spending one day in Utrecht is enough to explore it at its fullest.
Last weekend I decided to go on a day trip to Delft in the Netherlands. A colleague of mine lives there and showed me some pictures of it. It seemed like a cute town. So I asked my new friend who’s going to join me on my trip to Jordan if he wanted to come with me on a day out and off we went!
Eindhoven isn’t pretty and charming like Amsterdam but it’s a fun city to go shopping. When I go shopping with my friends I love to have
What I like about Amsterdam? Its canals, the crooked houses, the little streets, the bikes … even the red light district seems nice in
