Best Photography Locations in Mykonos

Beautiful photography locations in Mykonos aren’t hard to find since the town is absolutely stunning. The best way to discover them is to get lost in the narrow streets of the old town and wander away from the more crowded shopping streets. A few alleys further you’ll find yourself alone surrounded by white houses with blue, green, pink and red staircases and window frames, smelling the scent of freshly washed clothes and sheets drying in the sun and waving in the sea breeze and of course the smell of pancakes and warm bread.

The best Wadi Rum experience: camping & jeep tour with the Bedouins

The best way to experience Wadi Rum is by camping with the Bedouins and do a guided jeep tour. Mostly the Bedouins offer a jeep tour first followed by a one night stay at the camp. But I asked to do it in reverse…

How to visit Petra: everything you need to know

Petra, “the lost city” in Jordan, was on my bucket list for a long time! Not only is it one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, the caves, temples and tombs that are carved in the white and red sandstone speak wildly to the imagination. Petra still keeps a lot of secrets. Only 15 percent of the city is uncovered, which is the part you can visit today. This means that 85 percent is still hidden underground. Petra must have been massive since the area that is open to the public, is already quite extensive! That’s why a good preparation to visit the city is really necessary. There are so many trails and architectural gems to see, that it can be overwhelming to decide what to do. That’s why I share my personal experience and advise with you in this “How to visit Petra” travel guide!

How to spend one day in Amman, the capital of Jordan

Amman was never really on my bucket list, but when I booked my trip to Jordan I knew I couldn’t skip its capital city. I spent one day in Amman and was actually pleasantly surprised about what this vivid city had to offer. It isn’t really known for its famous monuments, so I had no idea where to go. But after doing some research and spending some time in the city I discovered some cool places to visit.

The best views in Petra, the lost city of Jordan

Petra is spectacular in so many ways. “The red-rose city”, completely overwhelmed me with its greatness and fascinating carved structures. I’m a big fan of epic views, so luckily I did some research first to find out where to find the best places to go. Otherwise I wouldn’t have seen the great places I visited! Below I listed some of the best views in Petra and how to reach them, because they are not always easy to find!

Need to know before visiting Jordan

Jordan totally surprised me. I never expected to fall in love with this country so fast. Its nature looks extraterrestrial with all the massive rock formations in different colors and its neverending horizons. The Jordanian people are one of the nicest, warmest people I have ever met and the food wasn’t bad either (which I feared because I don’t like red meat)! Here are some things you need to know before visiting Jordan! Because there is one thing for sure; you really should go there!

Jordan Road Trip Itinerary

Road tripping Jordan is the best way to explore the country and its habits. You’ll get to places where tour companies won’t go and you’ll get to experience and learn the Jordan way of living and driving. Whether the latter is a good thing, I’ll leave that up to you! I traveled through Jordan for 9 days at the end of March. Here’s my Jordan road trip itinerary!

What to pack in your hand luggage to avoid a delayed/lost luggage disaster

One day in Bovec, Slovenia: what to do?

I’ve spent one day in Bovec during my road trip at the Julian Alps in Slovenia. Bovec is known for its many activities like rafting, ziplining and canyoning, but I wasn’t able to do any of those things due to the bad weather, so I decided to explore waterfalls and hike the Soca trail. I stayed two nights at an apartment in Kal-Koritnica, a tiny town, five minutes driving from the Bovec city center and ten minutes from the Soca trail. It was the ideal location to explore the sights I had planned to see.
