Why you should watch “This Was Tomorrow”, the Tomorrowland documentary

Tomorrowland is not just another music festival. It has won awards for being the Best Music Event and Best Festival in the world. People from all over the world save money to catch a flight to attend the festival and enter the magical wonderland that sparkles with positivity and diversity. Even United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon visited the festival’s grounds in Boom, Belgium to deliver a message of global unity. Tomorrowland and the United Nations share the same core values; dignity, respect, unity.

That’s what the documentary This Was Tomorrow is all about. It doesn’t only show people dancing and jumping happily at the festival’s grounds. It shows people’s stories; how they got there. Not only from the visitors, but also the deejays who consider this festival as the ultimate experience of their career.

My favorite parts of the movie were the ones showing beautful images of places around the world. These places being the home of people, who saved for months to travel across the world to be part of the unique experience called Tomorrowland or TomorrowWorld. People who were traveling 2 to 3 months to get there; hitch hiking, sleeping outside on the steps of churches.

Tomorrowland

You’re probably thinking: All this to attend an electronic music festival? Yes, these people want to enjoy the music. But they also want to be part of the magical experience. They want to feel the positivity and the unity amongst the 10 000’s of people surrounding them. People from various continents, different religions, speaking diverse languages all come together with one purpose: having a good time, enjoying the music, meeting new people, experiencing the positive vibes and forgeting about the bad in the world. They all worship the same; the deejays who conquer the mystical world which is Tomorrowland, using music as their power to rule this happy place.

Tomorrowland

If you love Tomorrowland, you’ll love this movie. If you love positivity, traveling and learning about other cultures, watch this movie. Seeing all the happiness of the festival’s visitors and deejays, makes you instant happy. The movie shows tons of emotions, because music is emotion and emotion is Tomorrowland.

The documentary will be released online December 1st at the official Tomorrowland website.

I was invited as a guest by the Tomorrowland team to attend the world premiere of This Was Tomorrow. My opinion however is my own.
