Let the music move you: Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic Music MerengueAin’t nothing better than some local music to remember a past vacation! Let me take you to the Dominican Republic with some Merengue, Bachata and Mambo!

Everyone’s life has a soundtrack and I’m sure you have a couple of songs that take you back to a certain vacation or destination. These songs are often perfect to brighten up a rainy day at home or simply to dream away and imagine you’re back on that certain beach, that awesome cocktailbar or in that crazy car that drove you to an amazing place.

Even if you haven’t been to that certain destination, you can feel the passion and atmosphere of a place through its local music. So if you don’t have the money to go to the other side of the world, play some songs of another country and enjoy the experience!

So let me take you to the Dominican Republic with 10 songs that made my vacation unforgettable and will make your day more tropical!

Omega – Si No Me Ama

Amarfis – El Pollo

(love the dancemoves in this one!)

Kennedy El Poderoso ft Omar La Chelcha – Pobre Corazon

Hector El Father – Pa La Tumba

Silvio Mora – El Pan

Krisspy – El Tite

Daddy Yankee – Ella Me Levanto

Jimmy Bauer – Todas Tus Cosas

Hector Acosta – Pa’ Casarme

Zacarias Ferreira – Es Tan Dificil

I dedicate this post to Hector “Donkey” M Payan, Leiny Dickson Hilario, Luis “Spaghetti” Florentino, Youssef and “Mario Mambo” who all taught me how to dance to this music and who brought a smile to my face during this fantastic vacation while I was going through a very hard time!
