how to escape the crowds in Prague

How to escape the crowds in Prague

Prague is hot every season. I noticed that immediately arriving there at the end of March. It wasn’t even high season and the city was overrun with tourists. I asked locals about it and apparently it’s always like that. I was a little disappointed, realising it would be difficult to take pictures without people obstructing the view.

Photos of the Real Alcazar that will make you want to go

I visited the Real Alcazar in Sevilla for the second time last Summer and I couldn’t be happier! It is the oldest royal palace that is still in use in Europe and truly one of the prettiest palaces I’ve ever seen. If I ever get rich, I would like to have the same mosaic tiled walls and decorated doorways. I simply adore the Mudejar architectural style!

What’s in my bag – city trip edition

Apparently a lot of people think I must be carrying a huge bag with me during the day while exploring, because I take 2 to 3 cameras with me. Nothing can be further from the truth. I wear an average sized city bag and I still manage to carry all the necessary stuff for my day out.

Why I decided to travel solo in 2017

Those who follow my blog, know that last year I decided to change my life by being more positive and happier. Not that you can instantly change from one day to another, but I summed up a few actions that would make me happier and more positive and guess what? They worked out for me!

Casa Andalusi Cordoba

Cordoba, Monuments, Spain · January 10, 2017

Casa Andalusi in Cordoba, a true hidden gem

Casa Andalusi wasn’t on my bucket list of things to visit during my day in Cordoba. But at lunch I was looking on my map for monuments I could still visit in the afternoon (most of them are closed after 3pm) that were at a short walking distance. Casa Andalusi met those requirements. So after eating my tapas, I headed to this typical Andalusian house, not reallly knowing what to expect.

London Christmas

10 photos that will make you want to go to London around Christmas time

London is one of those cities that knows very well how to “do” Christmas. You can find Christmas trees everywhere in London around Christmas time. Every street is decorated with spectacular Christmas lights. Especially the Mayfair and Soho area with Oxford Street, Regent Street and Carnaby Street look amazing! London does not just hang some Christmas lights in the streets. They make massive angels, bows, Christmas baubles of it! And it’s not just the city itself that is making an effort.

How to plan a trip through Croatia on a budget (incl. itinerary)

“How did you plan your trip through Croatia?” is a question I received multiple times. I traveled through Croatia for 16 days on a budget and it was an amazing experience visiting several cities and national parks. And guess what? It wasn’t even that hard to create the perfect itinerary! First tip; book early! Having “said” that, let’s continue!

Travel photo tips: How to take photos without people in them

Travel photos with no people in them seem impossible to take. Especially in famous touristic places where the crowds keep coming and going, all wanting that one particular shot. However, with determination, patience and some creativity it actually isn’t that hard as it seems.

How travel bucket lists can ruin the travel experience

Does it impress you if I tell you I visited 22 countries so far? Probably not, since there are hundreds of travel bloggers or even some of your friends or family who visited way more. But what if I tell you I’ve already explored 121 places (meaning cities, villages or national parks outside my home country)? More impressed now? I really hope so. Not because of the number, but because that means I actually took the time and effort to explore those 22 countries.
