A neighbourhood guide to Valencia

Valencia is probably the most underrated city of Spain. Even though it is the third largest city of Spain and it has a lot to offer, it’s still one of the most authentic. It’s not packed (yet) with tourists like Barcelona, Madrid or Sevilla. Which makes it all the more pleasant to visit. Valencia isn’t known for world famous monuments, but it does have some impressive architecture to admire. Good food can be found behind every corner and the shopping options are limitless!

Real Alcazar Sevilla

Photos of the Real Alcazar that will make you want to go

I visited the Real Alcazar in Sevilla for the second time last Summer and I couldn’t be happier! It is the oldest royal palace that is still in use in Europe and truly one of the prettiest palaces I’ve ever seen. If I ever get rich, I would like to have the same mosaic tiled walls and decorated doorways. I simply adore the Mudejar architectural style!

Casa Andalusi Cordoba

Casa Andalusi in Cordoba, a true hidden gem

Casa Andalusi wasn’t on my bucket list of things to visit during my day in Cordoba. But at lunch I was looking on my map for monuments I could still visit in the afternoon (most of them are closed after 3pm) that were at a short walking distance. Casa Andalusi met those requirements. So after eating my tapas, I headed to this typical Andalusian house, not reallly knowing what to expect.

Photos of Casa de Pilatos that will dazzle you forever

Casa de Pilatos was the first place I visited after my arrival in Sevilla and it bedazzled me immediately. I was already in awe after visiting the Real Alcazar two years ago, but never did I imagine to stumble upon more of these architectural pearls in Sevilla. I was already intrigued by the Mudejar style, so I wanted to capture photos of all the buildings and rooms in this style. Not only as an inspiration for decorating my place, but also to inspire others to go there!

Casa de Pilatos: a tour of the most magnificent house in Sevilla

Casa de Pilatos is one of those places you fall in love with instantly. Its architecture is the perfect blend of Italian Renaissance, Mudejar (Spanish-Islamic) and Gothic styles. As soon as you enter the palace’s main courtyard, you’re captivated by its overwhelming gloriousness and it’s hard to leave!

One day in Cordoba, the ultimate guide to plan your day trip

I spend one day in Cordoba during my trip to Sevilla and I was in complete awe. It was even better than I imagined! Cordoba is the city where East meets West and is one of the most diverse cities I’ve ever visited. The typical Spanish white alleys, decorated with colorful flower pots, are surrounded by exquisite gems of Islamic architecture. This is the place where Muslims, Christians and Jews once lived peacefully side by side.

Fornalutx: the most charming place of Mallorca you must visit

Fornalutx is one of the most beautiful small towns you must visit on the Spanish island Mallorca. Hidden in the mountains, only 469 inhabitants experience its beauty daily. It wasn’t mentioned in my travel guide, so I discovered its existence…
