Rivierenhof, the most beautiful park of Antwerp

Just outside the ring road of Antwerp in Belgium, you can find the Rivierenhof at Deurne. It’s probably the most beautiful park of Antwerp. I prefer going there instead of the city park because it’s bigger and it’s not completely landscaped. There’s room for nature to do what it’s meant to do and this results in the most exquisite and picturesque spots. Because of the size of the park it’s never too crowded. You can sit by the water and have a picnic, play soccer at one of the many lawns, go for a run, have a drink at the castle and even enjoy a concert at the outdoor theatre during Summer. It reminds me of Central Park in New York.
It’s easy to get there from the center of Antwerp by taking tram 10 at the Rooseveltplaats and get off at Deurne Venneborg.
