Bruges; get off the beaten path

Getting off the beaten tourist track in Bruges isn’t that hard. You just take a side street, and another one, and another one until you get lost in the labyrinth of narrow streets. Or you can just keep following the canals until you find a smaller side canal and follow this! This way I found some beautiful unique places where I encountered few tourists. I loved the silence there. They say Bruges is the Venice of the North and I truly experienced that feeling in the hidden side streets.
