“De Reuzen” (the Giants), magical spectacle in Antwerp

Antwerp is under the spell again of “De Reuzen” (the Giants), the magical spectacle of Royal de Luxe, from 19 up to 21 june.  It’s a tradition that attracts hundreds of thousands of people to Antwerp’s city center to see the Giants wander through the streets and listen to the stories at significant places. This year it’s sweet Oma Reus (Grandma Giant) who travels through space by sleeping. She shares her beautiful memories with everyone, while the Little Black Giant wanders through Antwerp and stops to eat Belgian waffles (just one of the many activities). They both do naps to pause and they snore while doing so. At times they meet each other in the city. It’s a very heartwarming event.
