Ride a bike to the Golden Gate Bridge

San Francisco bikingIf you want to get closer to San Francisco’s biggest monument, the Golden Gate Bridge, I recommend renting a bike! The drive is fun, easy and comfortable due to the fantastic bike lanes, which are broad and safe. Riding a bike with the wind blowing through your hair, makes you feel free and relaxed, like only a sea breeze can do. Every push on the pedal takes you closer to the bridge, which never goes out of sight along the way.

Palace of Fine Arts

Halfway you should definitely stop at the Palace of Fine Arts. The setting of this mysterious building next to the large pond in the park is so beautiful with all the birds flying happily around . An ideal spot to have a picknick!

Golden Gate Bridge San Francisco bike ride

After another short ride you’ll arrive near the Golden Gate Bridge. You can park your bike at the Warming Hut Café and climb up the hill to get a fantastic view of the Golden Gate Bridge or walk to Torpedo Wharf to have a great view of the San Francisco skyline.

Don’t forget to actually cross the bridge into the small town of Sausalito. You can bike back or take the ferry.
